Service Cashier and Appointment Coordinator
Highland Chevrolet GMC Buick Cadillac is currently looking for a Full-Time Appointment Coordinator/Service Receptionist to join their team. We are in search of a Customer Service Expert that exhibits exceptional Customer service skills.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years' customer service or Call Centre experience
- Previous experience in an Automotive Dealership is an asset
- Must be willing to spend large portion of the workday making both inbound and outbound calls to Customers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Job Duties:
- Answer inbound calls to schedule service appointments, transfer calls to co-workers, take messages when necessary, and answer any Customer inquiries.
- Follow up with customers who are overdue for service
- Friendly, Outgoing attitude and ability to work quickly and multitask.
- Ask the Customer questions to uncover vehicle needs and directs calls appropriately
- Ensure that service consultants receive messages promptly
- Arrange alternative transportation for Customer when required (Shuttle or Car rental)
- Work order close out
- Create client invoices and collect payment

Technician
Summary
The Technician is responsible for diligently maintaining, repairing, and servicing customer vehicles to ensure both customer safety and satisfaction while contributing to overall departmental success. A key priority for a technician is to instill brand loyalty and ensure a positive customer service experience.
The Technician has excellent communication skills and can listen and discern as well as execute all requirements in the Service process. The technician can focus on the big-picture without missing any of the details and delivers results. They continually strive to become an expert in their field so that the service provided is above customer expectations.
A Technician upholds the dealerships’ standards and values so that the customer is fully satisfied through every interaction with the service department. As a team player, the Technician fosters positive relationships with personnel in all areas of the dealership.
The Details
Be detail and task-oriented.
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Diagnose the source of any malfunctions and perform repair.
- Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Provide written, prioritized quotes for necessary additional work.
- Explain procedures and repairs directly to the Service Advisor.
- Perform road tests.
- Perform safety inspections.
- Review and analyze actions regularly to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
- Encourage compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Be a strong communicator.
- Greets all customers warmly.
- Update the Service Consultant throughout the service process (eg. when there is an issue, when the car goes to detailing for a car wash, when the work is completed).
- Using strong written communication skills, clearly and concisely document findings throughout the service process.

- Ozone depletion certificate.
- Valid Driver’s License for province of employment.
- Ideally two (2) years minimum as an Automotive Service Technician.
- One (1) year Brand product experience.
- Dealership experience preferred.

Salary:
This position pays $ 37-38 / hour Flat Rate
Lot Attendant
This position requires an incumbent that is reliable, motivated and customer focused. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining and managing the sales lot and driving customers. The Lot Attendants assist in ensuring the sales vehicle lot is inviting to our valued clients. The Lot Attendants are responsible for keeping vehicles clean and orderly and preparing vehicles for delivery to the client.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and Inspect New Vehicles delivered by transport from General Motors
- Maintain the sales keeping the vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving cars as required and in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain and both new and pre owned vehicle inventory.
- Prepare vehicles for delivery to the client.
- Provide an exceptional customer service experience to our valued clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position is primarily managed by outcome. Scheduling and task assignments are provided by the manager. Work quality and service levels are subject to random review and are contingent on customer satisfaction. Work efficiency is measured. Incumbent must be able to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision.

Position Summary
The Vehicle Attendant:
- Checks the delivery log daily.
- Identifies keys with proper tags for service vehicles.
- Drives service/repair customers to their homes or place of employment.
- Runs miscellaneous errands for the dealership.
- Assists in ensuring the neat appearance of the dealership (e.g., picks up litter, shovels snow off vehicles, wipes off showroom vehicles, cleans offices, windows).
- Assists in directing traffic for service events.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma.

- Valid Driver’s License for province of employment.
